John J. M. Bello, MD, FACS

Graduated from Cornell University in 1979.  He earned his medical degree from Ross University and completed his surgical training at Saint Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.  He was recruited by Dr Felix Salerno to HSA in 1995 and is instrumental in leading the practice today.  He is an active Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.  Dr. John Bello has been selected as a NJ Monthly Top Doctor in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Joseph M. Bello, MD, FACS

Dr. Joseph Bello received his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He attended George Washington University Medical School in Washington, D.C. and went on to complete his surgical residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. He is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been in practice since 1991 and joined Hunterdon Surgical Associates in 2001.

 Dr. Chen was graduated from Boston University College of Engineering and then obtained an MS in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.  He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia where he went on to complete his surgical residency. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Chen is also certified in Robotic assisted surgery.

Martin P. Alvarez, MD

Dr. Alvarez is a double board-certified general surgeon at Hunterdon Surgical Associates in Flemington, NJ. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University in 2004. Dr. Alvarez earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. His surgical training includes a general surgery internship at Temple University Hospital, a general surgery residency at Abington Memorial Hospital, where he was named Chief Resident, and a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Lehigh Valley Health Network. Dr. Alvarez is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

Jeffrey H. Chen, MD, FACS

Michael Allard, DO

Originally from California, Dr. Allard completed a BA in history from UC Santa Barbara. His interest changed to the medical field, and he graduated from San Francisco State University with a BS in microbiology. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Andrew Taylor Still University, Mesa AZ campus, and he spent 3 years of medical school training on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. He moved to New Jersey and completed his general surgical residency at Rowan University prior to working at Hunterdon Surgical Associates.
